Inside The Ink: Knock Knock

I know, my last post was, um, odd. Do you remember that whole Y2K, “all of technology is going to shutdown and the world will never be the same”, thing? Well, that was kind of my inspiration for Knock Knock. I imagined a blogger writing his way into the new year, somehow getting stuck in a blog, and not being able to fully communicate with the outside world.

I thought about using binary code or Morse code but I didn’t want to torture you guys (or myself) too much. The Tap Code thing was my way of making it tedious but not overly difficult. The whole point was for someone to actually be able to figure it out.

I kind of like this idea of going back and doing a kinda Directors Cut. I think I’m going to keep this going. If you’re lucky i might even go back and give you a behind the scenes look at some of my previous work. Hmm, which one(s) are you curious about? Anyhoo, without further ado, here is the message from Knock Knock:

Hello? If you can hear or see this please help. I’m Alphonso Francis white. I don’t know where I am or how I got here. Hell, I’m not even sure “when” I am. I have no idea how long I’ve been here. Last thing I can remember was new year’s. The ball was dropping. I had just started my new blog and was writing the first post. When the clock struck midnight all of the lights just turned out. No one including myself took the warnings and predictions seriously. This millennia sucks! Help!

P.S. I basically told Giggles that I wouldn’t post the solution until after someone figured it out… And then she took it upon herself to do so. And to also point out my typo. I’m pretty sure that a Tap just shifted and was misplaced while I was writing it out but honestly who knows? Either way, you can go to her page and thank her for this one.
