Start A Blog And Keep It Going For At Least A Year

So, during my Christmas shopping I came across a bucket list (BL) book. Intrigued, I bought it and spent the next hour and a half flipping through it with post-it note and pen in hand. This book already has 250 preset BL ideas, one of which (activity #37) being “Start a blog and keep it going for at least a year”, hence this blog and the ones that follow.

I am honestly not sure what to blog about, or if anyone will actually read it for that matter. Hell, it took me three days to finally get up the courage to do this first one and as I write this I’m still not sure what to talk about. I guess I could talk more about the Bucket List, which I assure you is full of nothing but promise. Or I could use this to describe myself, go over my upbringing, beliefs, daily interactions, and blah blah blah. Or, I could use it to address my previous blog, which I’m sure as the views increase on this one they will also go up on that one as well [ For the record, I am well aware of the grammatical errors in Al. As you can imagine, I was a little upset when I wrote it, grammar was the furthest thing from my mind. I’ve thought about going back and fixing it but as of now I’m barely able to read it all the way through let alone edit anything. To be honest, I think the errors might add a little je ne sais quoi.]. Or, my goals and dreams. Or I can just post whatever I feel like posting…. Whenever I feel like posting it… Hmmm… I think I’ll go with that one.

For now, I guess I’ll start with a tidbit about myself. Nah, I’ll save that for later. So for now, I guess I’ll just say thank you for reading, comments (good, bad, and indifferent) are very much appreciated, and I look forward to sharing more soon.a2c3e-0103171923P.S. I am also well aware of how bad my chicken scratch handwriting is…..

~Update~ If you made it this far, SURPRISE! It’s a new post hidden within the Flashback Friday post… My anniversary post may or may not have been a bit tounge in cheek. On a serious note, I really have enjoyed this journey thus far. And I am EXTREMELY grateful for all of the support that I have received up to this point.

I’m not going to get all sappy and turn this post into a readable chick-flick. But I must say, I could not have made it this far without you guys. Seriously. I’m not a stat junky, but without the occasional like/comment I might have given this whole thing up long ago. I’ve “met” some pretty amazing people through this… Actually, I should say that I have “met” some pretty inspiring people with amazing stories through blogging. Hopefully I’ve helped you all in at least a portion of the way that you all have helped me. Ok, that’s it, dry your eyes… And best wishes to you and yours in this coming year.

Until next time, try something new… You might just like it.

P.S. As you can see, the pen pal thing fell through (not really sure what happened there) so if anyone outside of the U.S is interested let me know!

P.P.S. I should apologise ahead of time, I make a HORRIBLE pen pal.

Again, congrats on making it to one year! HUGE milestone! I’m not sure how or when I came across this blog (or did you come across mine?) but super glad I did!

And why can’t this be a chick-flick post?! MAYBE some people were expecting it and are now disappointed and it will take forever and a half to get over that disappointment? Actions have consequences Alphonso 😛

Have you found a penpal?! Getting mail (that isn’t a bill or a bank statement) is the absolute best thing ever!

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch because I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch!

  8. I am just commenting to let you understand of the notable discovery my cousin’s child found reading through your webblog. She figured out a wide variety of pieces, with the inclusion of what it’s like to have a wonderful coaching style to have many people clearly learn about selected multifaceted things. You undoubtedly did more than readers’ desires. I appreciate you for rendering the insightful, dependable, edifying and easy tips about that topic to Ethel.
