On July 31st I was nominated, for my second award! Amanda, thank you so much! It’s an honor to be nominated for an award like this from someone whose blog I enjoy to read as well. She writes about way more than just running, however, if you are going to her blog simply for running advice you will not be disappointed. Actually when I first discovered her blog she was taking a break from running and writing about the adventures that her and her family were embarking on. 7 Facts About Me:

1- How about we go with 7 facts that I haven’t already covered in my blog? This is going to be tough. Um… Oh, I’ve got one which may or may not come as a surprise… I don’t actually enjoy my own writing. I edit and re-edit my posts over and over again until I get sick of looking at them and finally publish it. The published product is RARELY what I would consider “finished”. Hopefully this gets better as I continue down this journey, if not I guess in a way imperfect is perfection, right? Ok, 6 more, wish me luck…

2- I currently live with my sister and niece. They moved into my place last month.

3- I am a list maker. But as a list maker I have to admit that I really suck at referring back to my lists once they have been made. I have one that I started in January about blog ideas that I completely forgot about and just found in my phone the other day.

4- I’m currently in the process of posting the pictures that I’ve used in my blog onto my Instagram account. While doing this I discovered that apparently I didn’t cite my sources for some of the pictures that I’ve used. So this slow process has just gotten slower as I’m now trying to track down the original version of said pictures so that I can go back and edit my post to give that author their credit… No fun. Preferably, hopefully, I’d love it if I could convince an artist or multiple artists to draw for my blog. Now THAT would be really cool.

5- I can’t believe that I haven’t already covered this in my blog, but I am a HUGE fish nerd. Maybe not “huge” but I love fish, mainly cichlids… South American Cichlids, not those African punks. I grew up in a house with a fish tank in almost every room. It’s kind of killing me that I couldn’t bring my fish tanks from my old apartment to my new one. I had a tall 150 Gallon and a 120 gallon tank. The layout of my new place is a little odd, it would have been too much of a pain trying to get them into this place.

6- I have no idea how to gauge my blogging “success”. I mean, I feel pretty good about where I am but I don’t know if it’s where I should be or not. I guess I should take a hint from these awards and say that I’m not doing all that bad huh? Yea, I know. 

7- I have a second blog. I haven’t actually made a post on it yet, just a few drafts. You see, there are a lot of things that have happened in my life that I want to share but for right now I think it’s best that they are shared anonymously. Hopefully I’ll get to the point where I end up combining the two.
