Go Rock Climbing
Good afternoon all! I guess with this second post I can officially say that I have “started a blog“. This is kind of a weird feeling to be honest. But, anyways, I figure that I should come up with some sort of schedule for these things. You know who would be really good at coming up with that schedule? Future Alphonso. Yup, that guy can handle it. For now, I think I’ll stick with (life permitting) not letting more than seven days pass without posting. Sounds pretty reasonable. I can’t say that all of them will be about my bucket list, it would be pretty hard to check off one of those items each week. This post was actually going to be about my father, He passed away a couple of years ago and I’ve been thinking a lot about him lately. But in an attempt to keep these relatively short, and maintain my sanity as I write them, I am going to leave that as a task for Future Alphonso as well. So Rock climbing, well, indoor rock climbing….. Been there, Done that.
I took my son to a facility this past Friday and we had a ball. I suggest that if you decide to do this you do it with a group. It sucks having done this and the only pictures that I have to show from it are of us on the ground. You see, when you are on belay -it’s a rock climbing thing, you wouldn’t understand- you don’t have a free hand so I couldn’t take advantage of the Kodak moments of my son showing gravity who’s boss. It amazes me how quickly kids learn new skills. We sat through an hour long class and at the end of it he looked every bit as good as the rock climbing vets that were there. I can not wait to go back! I wonder which item I should try to cross off of the list next. And what I should blog about next. You know… A comment or two from a reader (or readers) would probably help a good bit. Just saying. Until next time, Live long and watch more Star Trek.
~Update~
I missed both of those lunar eclipse days…

Thank you! Not nearly as entertaining as your posts haha but I try… Maybe making more Star Trek references would help me catch up

Wait, which version of star trek are we talking about here? Haha I think they might have gone just a little wrong in deep space 9

No no no!! Deep space while not the best was still awesome and Dax was my favorite character but nothing beats Jean Luc and next gen!

I might not go as far as to call it “awesome” but maybe it did have some good moments here and there, Dax was great, and yes, next gen is where it’s at!

The kodak moments will stay in your mind living in the moment and making memories.

Thanks! One of my favorite saying is (a little cheesy) from Gladiator, “what we do in life echoes in eternity”, I’m all about the memories.
