Unfinished Business: Put Some Respeck On It

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it’s happened. We have officially entered an era where it is considered disrespectful to not disrespect someone! Yup, it’s a thing. Hmm, actually, I take that back. I have officially become aware of the fact that it is considered disrespectful to not be disrespectful. How did this happen? When did this happen?

I mean, there’s the elementary “they pick on you because they like you” thing, which I always thought was stupid (even though looking back I guess I admittedly subconsciously did it myself), but we aren’t kids anymore. And even then, it was more or less “innocent”, which is as cringeworthy for you to read as it was for me to write… I can’t think of a better word right now, stay with me.

P.S. You guessed it, this is in fact a real conversation. We went from her introducing sex into the conversation, to me playing along but not pushing it, to her calling me “kind”, and then on to her becoming extremely pushy with her request while also being unwilling to reciprocate. Yea. That happened. And then she ghosted me.
