Bloggers’ Block

Wow. I published only one post last week. Not a huge deal, I mean, I generally only publish two posts a week anyway. But I have gotten very used to that two post pace. I’m not sure what happened there. I got a really bad case of bloggers block and kept putting off writing until, well, here we are. At this point I don’t think anyone is sitting at the edge of their seat, waiting for my post but I still felt as though I owed you guys something so, my apologies.

With that said, I’m still dealing with a bad case of the block, so this post won’t exactly be my best work. I have the last Bucket List and About Me posts completed, scheduled, and ready to go and I plan to (at some point) write a follow up to Mmm. However, aside from that I’ve got nothing. I went through my drafts, none of them were really all that inspiring. Any suggestions?

When did you go through this? What did you do to pull yourself out of your rut? Is there anything specific that you’d like me to write about? I think part of it has something to do with the fact that I’ve also slowed down on reading other blogs. Usually I would average reading a post a day and somehow get inspired by that but these last two weeks I think I might have read 4 or five posts in total. I guess I’ll start there and see where it takes me.

Let me back up for a second. Mmm is something that I was actually considering turning into a book. My idea for the book though was not to focus on erotica, but instead I want to change the genre from chapter to chapter. I’m still toying around with the outline, but I think if the story flows well while transitioning from one genre to another it will make for a pretty good one. Or, you know, I could be completely wrong about it. Once I figure it out and commit to writing it I guess I can post it here. I think I’ll go ahead and take the password off of them when I post though. I mean, Only one of the chapters will be erotic, and I’m not all that worried about someone accidentally stumbling onto it and getting offended (should I be?) or maybe I’ll just put a password on them for a week or so, I don’t know. And now I’m starting to ramble, so on that note, I’m going to end this bad boy and send it to the printer, er, blog.

Until next time, what exactly are you hoping to read about on here next time?

  1. I agree, sometimes you just need some time off. And then come back with fresh eyes and mind.

  2. It’s hard to get over those blocks! What I do is take some time away from my blog. A day, or a weekend, or sometimes a whole week. I just walk away. I don’t even check my emails. It’s torture a little bit but it helps. I also check out “The Daily Post” since they offer daily prompts to get your writing flowing.
